FEAST OF TABERNACLES
WHAT THIS DAY IS ABOUT
This day commemorates the time where the Israelites dwelt in tents in the wilderness during the time of Moses after being delivered out of Egypt by The Most High who provided them for food, rainment and shelter for 40 years.
HOW DO WE CELEBRATE THIS DAY
We celebrate this feast with a profound reverence for tradition and community. On the first and last days, we abstain from any servile work, dedicating these sacred moments to reflection, worship, and fellowship. Our holy convocations become a manifestation of our unity as the body of believers, where we gather to share in the richness of the feast, both spiritually and physically.
In observance of this feast, we embrace the practice of dwelling in booths or tabernacles, reminiscent of the lives our forefathers led during their journey through the wilderness. These temporary structures serve as a powerful reminder of our dependence on Divine provision and the transient nature of our existence. Together, as we celebrate, we instill a sense of gratitude and acknowledgment of the heritage that binds us. This sacred convocation fosters a deeper connection with one another and with God, allowing us to honor our past while embracing the present joy of communal fellowship.
